DUPLICATE: Multiple Field Import
Since some of the plugins use JS files and html tags, I thought importing multiple columns could be a breeze of you could set up multiple columns to be in the question side and 1 or 2 columns to be on the answer side. In other words here is an example :
Column 1 - <plugin script referencing .js columns - showing that column 1-5 is on front of card - and randomize options for multiple choice>
Column 2 - Question 1
Column 3 - <br> <img src=1.jpg>
Column 4 - <br> Option 2

DUPLICATE: Audio Pronunciations (tts support)
"Click on word to say it" so we can hear how the word should sound.
this feature available on all android flashcard apps. but there is no windows flashcard software that support this feature.
windows has it own tts (also mac os and some other os). so it only need some APIs and a few coding.

6 votesThis is not declined, but closed because there is already a suggestion like this open, so it’s a duplicate. See the proposal ‘universal offline mobile client’ for details, and the comments in that thread, specifically my link to the G+ post.
Short summary: webserver integrated in Mnemosyne GUI is coming in next version. Mnemosyne for iDevice will need to be written by someone else.
Note that the current version already comes with a non-integrated webserver (mnemosyne-webserver). This will be integrated in the GUI in 2.3

(better) support for high resolution screens
we who have high resolution screens (resolution over 1920x1080) need bigger GUI to be able to enjoy mnemosyne with native resolution
1 voteThis has nothing to do with Mnemosyne itself, but should be handled at the OS level. E.g., there are options in Windows to scale the UI.

Settings. “First show new cards” option sounds ambiguous.
Sounds like it commands to show New cards first, ahead of Scheduled cards.
Suggestion: “Show new cads in this order”

Duplicate: mnemosyne for iPad
It would be great if you manage to make a mnemosyne app for appstore, or integrate the program in your website, which will be very helpful for people who travel a lot, iPad and Windows Mobile users etc.

Sorry for posting here, but don’t know where to report bug.
When I start Mnemosyne, if it cannot locate (flash drive, network drive, folder access rights etc. ) Mnemosyne database (db) it will not run. It would just post message box and close.

DUPLICATE: Add an option to type the answer
I notice that it’s been more than a year since Mnemosyne administrator Peter Bienstman proposed this, but so far it’s still unavailable. I’m sure many others too would like to know what’s happening with this idea.
I think that adding this option would be a huge improvement to Mnemosyne. It would help reduce the passivity that can easily creep into spaced-repetition study. The need to actually reproduce the answer (or something acceptably close to it) within the program would make for much more rigorous study. (Obviously there would need to be some sort of “override” or “I was right!" option…

DUPLICATE: "3-sided cards" or multiple-sided cards
Examples:
Learn a list of birds by name, picture and song.
Learn Japanese vocab by kanji, hiragana and translation.
Learn a list of countries by name, capital and flag.Be able to select which aspects of the card are quizzed. This way there could be a master database for vocab in many languages and select which language to work on.

DUPLICTAE: Display notes not only below the answer but also below the (unanswered) question or into a separate textfield.
As the subject states. I like the "note" feature which displays some kind of text below the answer. I think it would be nice displaying the same text below the question too. Or maybe creating a configurable "hint" textfield or extracting the notes and displaying them in a separate third textfield.

DUPLICATE: make back/forward button to use when learning cards
As you learn, sometimes you realise that two cards back there are some corrections or explanations to be added.
There is no easy way to go back and make those corrections - except ctrl+B then find the card and edit it.

Make it possible to opt-out of having "_missing" added when a file is not found in the media db
When you import a txt file with urls in the audio tags (e.g., "<audio src="http://central.languagepod101.com/wordlist_audio/888167.mp3">), the files don't load until you go through and manually edit every card. The Missing Media tag should be enough of an alert that something seems to be lacking - at least the tags can all be removed in one step.

Use "All supported sound files" rather than listing just a few at the Insert Sound window.
mplayer can handle more types of files - flv and mpeg, for example - than show up when you are searching a list of audio files. Having to type in . or *.mpeg (or whatever it was a few days ago) to activate the list or try to remember how the filename started is a nuisance.
1 voteMplayer is only used as a temporary solution under Windows, where a Qt bug prevents the use of the html5 sound tag, which gives you e.g. a player widget with pause buttons, etc, …
So, as soon as Qt on Windows is fixed, mplayer is going away.

Win7: rename .matplotlib folder to a non-dot name
In C:\Users\username directory, each user's many folders are named "aaa whatever" to precede the built-in Microsoft clutter. We don't want the clutter of dot-named folders ( .matplotlib ) inserted at the top. Can configuration be changed to give a non-dot name to the matplotlib folder ?

DUPLICATE: Linked cards
What I miss is linked cards where a set of arbitrary number of cards (ranging from 2 to n) is ordered by a field and always presented (reviewed/tested) in the same order. It could be a front-to-back only card type with the sort field. The system would ignore grading of the cards (that would only serve to move to the next card) and would use only the last card grading as the grading for the whole set.
It is not available in Anki and in Anki forums long time ago there was supposed workaround that never worked. The only difference…5 votes -

DUPLICATE: introduce the ability to add notes to a card.
I am using Mnemosyne to learn physics, and it would be a great idea to enable a card to have notes attached to it, which are unseen by default, but which can be viewed by the click of a button.
I find myself having questions about particular definitions or formulas that I am trying to memorize, that I have to look up immediately because I can't attach these questions to the cards themselves. This interrupts the process of reviewing cards.

Add FORWARD/BACK buttons under BROWSE
Under CARDS->BROWSE we get a list of active cards.
If I double-click on a card, it displays that card in a mode I can edit it.
I would like that edit window to also have a FORWARD (i.e. next) or BACK button.
The reason is, sometimes I want to go through all the current cards to check them or look for changes. It would make this sort of mass editing/checking easier if I didn't need to double-click to open each card one-by-one.
