  2. It has been a while since I used this app. There are too many carts I've added and one big problem I've been dealing with is that the 0 and 1 grades go to the not-learned carts and I have to answer about 100 carts then I get to them which are more important for me! so I have to give them number 2 to make them come earlier. so please give another algorithm.

  3. I'd like a feature that turns a question with multiple items (a list) and all the same answer into separate cards. Kind of like cloze deletion but instead of leaving one item blank and showing the other elements, just showing one element and hiding the other elements (or rather don't show them at all).

  4. Make it so that you may select cards in the card browser and right click. Among the options is to move the card(s) in front of que so you may learn it sooner.

  6. If the "Question" or "Answer" is only composed of a picture, it should be possible to zoom in (or out, respectively) with the two-fingers touch.

The Picture should initially be sized to fit the canvas.

I am not sure, how to handle additional text: change text size together with the picture? Or leave it as displayed initially? (The first iteration might completely ignore additional text ;-)

  7. If I have a question containing e.g. a picture, and the answer is formed only by a few words, I might want to change the ratio of the question and the answer canvas. This should be possible at the time of learning (not necessary at the time of creating a flash card).

  8. I’m using memoryse 2.8, german interface. Cram recently learned cards is not well translated in german.
Show answer = Antwort zeigen. This is correct.
Wrong = translated Wrong is wrong. Falsch should be the translation.
Right = translated Rechts is in this contect wrong. Richtig shoult be the translation.

  9. I think Mnemosyne already supports having more than two sister cards under the hood, and might be able to import N‐sided imports from Anki files, but there is still no way to use the Mnemosyne UI to create a vocabulary entry with three sister cards (Foreign Word→Translation+Pronunciation, Translation→Foreign Word+Pronunciation, Pronunciation→Foreign Word+Translation). Such a feature would be very useful for learning vocabulary in foreign languages with different writing systems. Additionally, implementation could be rather simple, such as through an additional checkbox for 'Also Test Listening Comprehension' when creating or editing an existing card.

  12. Please add the "Exit" button to the menu in the Android app.

On Android, it is not always clear if an application is closed by pressing the back button. The app can be accidentally minimized by the Home button and remain active.

Recently this situation happened: the Mnemosyne Android app was accidentally minimized instead of exiting. It was inactive for about 4 hours, and then, at about 3 am, it suddenly started working. A phrase in a foreign language from a dictionary sounded very loud. Everyone was scared!

  14. QtWebKit is completely free software, unlike QtWebEngine [1]. There already packages that are similar to mnemosyne which use it [2].

  15. I imported a stack of cards. They were in the front-to-back format, however with the reverse order of how I'd like it. Now I need to edit all cards separatedly, exchanging front with back and back with front. Would be nice to have a simple button that swaps back with front.

  17. Automatically measure the total time the learner has spent on rehearsing each session, and in statistics show (among other things) the average rehearsing time per day. This would be very useful for time management. You can then commit for example to rehearsing at most 10 minutes a day.

Also, automatically make an estimation of the future rehearsal times based on past rehearsal-time data with the current set of active cards.

An additional feature would be that Mnemosyne would not accept to add new cards if the prognosis is that you will exceed a user-chosen average rehearsal time a day (for…

  18. When I create a new card I would usually choose the tag first. If I have lots of tags (more than 5), and even more if they are long, it's annoying to type the tag every time. Or to scroll up and down to the right tag. Or to click the dropdown menu with the mouse. Would be really nice to have an auto-fill option where when I type “C” it suggests the last/most used tag beginning with “C”, e.g. “Computer Science”, and I just have to press Enter/Tab to jump to the input field.

  19. It would be fun to be able to rank with friends certain decks of cards. Having some kind of a score makes the "game" ;) so much more interesting. And even if its only a +1 notice.

  20. Hi there,

Im learning Arabic and am looking for an app that supports my daily vocab learning.
I'd like to have a reminder/ pop up for a pre defined number of cards and a few options like how many cards how many times per day I'd like to learn, repeating the ones I didn't know until I can remember them.

Another feature I think a lot of people might find helpful and fun (!) would be a template for memory game for terms and short phrases and sort of a domino for longer sentences cut in two parts and displayed…
