Add Option to move the Splitter between Card type and Tag lists.
The more Tags I see, the less the SIde_Bar dragging to do.
Would be nice to Freeze it in the position the user wants.
Helpful in Browser and Review windows.

Use ‘configure mnemosyne – card appearance’ for this.
You can also add standard html colour codes if you wish.

As an option, allow double sided cards not to be both actualized when edited
As a matter of fact, I often create cards (with 1.2.2) which I personnalize as a new question or answer when reviewing and editing. 2.3.3 version doesn't seem to allow this as both cards are changed at the same time.
For example, say I create this double side card :
Q: Who wrote "The metamorphosis" ?
A: Frans Kafka (with a picture of the author)When reviewing the reverse card, I simply edit and change it to :
Q: Czech author Frans Kafka wrote his most famous novel in 1915. What's its title ?
R: "The metamorphosis"If this option…

Same word, different category.
The ability to use different categories for the same word. For example, in Spanish a word can be a noun and an adjective and/or an adverb. The word limpio can be an adjective, noun, and/or and adverb. Each category/tag has a different meaning and definition. Adding the word three times with different categores would be great.

allow visual formatting options for questions/answers. Font, color, background, border ...
The visual appearance of information is a huge learning aid.
I would love to see Mnemosyne add support for such features. It could also provide some very interesting data about how visual cues can improve recollection.
An implementation should of course allow support for importing formatting from other software in the future.

If you could automatically change change your answer to a question and a question to an answer
I like to change answers to questions to answers to make sure my brain can easily answer a question presented in either format. I usually start with the definition and give the answer. I would be nice to have the option to get answer a give the definition automatically.

Don't show "can't preserve history" when there is no history
When converting a card to a new type, don't show the "can't preserve history" if there is no previous history.

Manually learn a specific card
It would be nice to be able to learn a specific card out of the catalog. Simply add some entry to the context menu like "learn this card now" and it opens in a new window.
I need this, because when I forgot to learn cards yesterday, I learn those before the ones of today. And if I don't manage to learn all of today too, I can't get too the old ones from yesterday, because the queue is so, that it sets the cards from today before those from yesterday. A bit confusing, because in the settings the option…

to correct an important error translating the programm into Spanish
First of all, thank you for this marvellous programm!
"Upload anonymous science logs" has been bad translated as "Subir etiquetas anonimas de ciencia" which is completely wrong and makes confusion about what it is made for.
I would translate it as "Subir logaritmos anónimos de uso científico"

Only missed cards
In College I used a flash card program that had a feature that would allow you to go through the deck once and then have the option of creating a new deck of only the missed cards to go through again, and then the option to only take missed cards within this deck and it keeps repeating until there are no more missed cards to repeat. I found this method extremely fast and efficient for cramming before an exam. It kept me on the top 5% of my class.

Implement an auto-save function while reviewing or creating cards
Periodicity would be determined by user : ex each 5, 10 or 15 minutes. It would thus avoid frustrating data or reviewing time loss in case of computer crash (which incidentally happened quite frequently to me...)

Hi, it should be great if we have a button for make the same card back. With an hard card to learn, if we can choose to repeat it if we
can't succeed to learn a card which is too difficult (it's my case). In the last version of mnemosyne, the same card was repeat sometimes, but now it's not, and it can be good but we should have this possibility, with an other button of the 6 ones, which can be named : "repeat".

Trainer Mode
Optional mode that would allow client to sync with server, retrieve new cards and relay activity (use,cards reviewed, etc..) info.

display how many cards have been memorized this day/session
Right now I use the "15 cards memorized" warning to manage my daily reviews, but sometimes it doesn't seem to appear (or perhaps I click through it somehow by accident). I watch the "Not memorized" and "Active" numbers and they seem to get farther and farther apart, but I don't know for certain how many cards I've memorized today unless I remember the totals before I start today's reviews and then do the maths from time to time.
Also, if I want to do more than 15 reviews daily, or less, it's difficult to manage this. (Changing the threshold for…

Export to XML (with learning data!)
Optionally, export to ANY format with learning data. This would allow smartphone apps to be able to use mnemosyne cards. Of course mnemododo exists, but it's far from excellent.

Allow users to disable pronunciation as a question
Chinese has many words with the same pronunciation. When I see a flashcard with the word "wǔ," how am I supposed to know if it means "five" or "must not?"
1 voteThe best thing to do in this case is adding some extra data to the card that will help you make that distinction, e.g. a hint like ‘not five’ to indicate that you want ‘must not’ as an answer.
Alternatively, what you suggested is already there too, as in ‘deactivate cards’ you can turn off ‘recognition cards’

While making the cards in Japanese studies, the kanji scripts are difficult to read in small font. Please make provision for choice of font size and style.
