Only missed cards
In College I used a flash card program that had a feature that would allow you to go through the deck once and then have the option of creating a new deck of only the missed cards to go through again, and then the option to only take missed cards within this deck and it keeps repeating until there are no more missed cards to repeat. I found this method extremely fast and efficient for cramming before an exam. It kept me on the top 5% of my class.
That’s exactly how Mnemosyne behaves, only the transition between the phases happens automatically.

I you want cramming, use the crammming scheduler plugin.
I do suggest that you spend some time with Mnemosyne first, but the regular scheduler and the cramming scheduler, although I do suggest the regular scheduler if you're serious about long term retention.

No, what you are referring to is an algorithm. What I am saying is that you have the option of taking the card stack once. You get a final grade; say "you scored 70%. Do you want to take the missed cards only?" Then you take these cards and get a final score again and again the option to only take the missed cards. This repeats until you have successfully completed all cards. Very fast and time efficient for review. Your algorithm is for learning and requires a greater time commitment where missed cards are automatically repeated at more frequent intervals. Not the same as the above method at all.
