automatically stop sound when you change / go to the next cards
When you insert a sound file (for example mp3) and the currently card is shown the sound is automatically played (which is good of course)
But when you go to the next card the sound from the previous card does not stop (and as a far as I know you can't disable this setting)
So while your learning the next cards you still hear the sounds from the previous cards (if the duration of the sound is long enough)Even if you close Mnemosyne all sounds from your selected cards are still played in full length.

Don't show card with tag X
Be able to exclude cards based on tag. For example you may want to learn the cards having the tag 'birds', however some of those cards also having the tag 'starred' on them you may not want to learn.
This could be implemented in the (d)activate card dialog.3 votesClick on ‘having any of these tags’ and choose ‘not having any of these tags’.

Mnemosyne works perfectly, except for syncing older xml and mem files where it seems to lose history once in awhile when they are imported into dbd format. Whatever your programmers do, do not change the user interface, its perfect. They way you have had it for years with the ability to easily review far ahead, or review as few or as many cards as one wants is perfect. Minimal settings and windows as you have them are perfect. Always remember, users like me want to read the cards, not adjust settings(ie-dont change it like Anki did).
1 voteGlad you like our philosophy! Don’t worry, even if we add major features which would clutter the UI, we will put them in plugins which are turned off by default.

Hi, it should be great if we have a button for make the same card back. With an hard card to learn, if we can choose to repeat it if we
can't succeed to learn a card which is too difficult (it's my case). In the last version of mnemosyne, the same card was repeat sometimes, but now it's not, and it can be good but we should have this possibility, with an other button of the 6 ones, which can be named : "repeat".

Implement an auto-save function while reviewing or creating cards
Periodicity would be determined by user : ex each 5, 10 or 15 minutes. It would thus avoid frustrating data or reviewing time loss in case of computer crash (which incidentally happened quite frequently to me...)

Same word, different category.
The ability to use different categories for the same word. For example, in Spanish a word can be a noun and an adjective and/or an adverb. The word limpio can be an adjective, noun, and/or and adverb. Each category/tag has a different meaning and definition. Adding the word three times with different categores would be great.

Start audio from certain point in audio file like a bookmark.
The book I'm using provides audio samples for blocks of words or phrases in a single audio file. The ability to have Mnemosyne start playing from a certain point in the audio would be perfect so that you would not need to manually chop up the files.

Support percent encoding in source URIs and URLs
When using files (like for images) with certain reserved symbols like # and % in the file name, it is necessary to use the % style character encoding in the src attribute of the tag. For example, I have a file "G#.png" which needs to be given as "G%23.png" in the html code to properly show the image.
Also, after I make this change manually, the program gives an error message saying the file is missing, even though the image now displays properly in the preview.3 votesWill be in the next release.

Browser. The dividing field between Tags and Card_Types ....
Problem:This field is wide in vertical direction - wasting valuable space.
Would be nice:- to change the field between Tags and Card_types into a Line;
- allow this Splitter Line to be moved at will - allocating MORE space for the Tag tree.

Add Option to move the Splitter between Card type and Tag lists.
The more Tags I see, the less the SIde_Bar dragging to do.
Would be nice to Freeze it in the position the user wants.
Helpful in Browser and Review windows.

An option to put the not memorized cards inbetween the scheduled cards, not at the end
I would love an option like the title says.
The reason is that I am learning a language. I have now about 2000 cards (front and back == ca 1000 foreign words) everyday I have about 100 cards scheduled.
If I did a new lection in busuu, I have about 20 new words, that are shown to me at the end of my daily schedule. This has three disadvantages, I think.After 100 cards I am kind a bored or tired, when I know, now will be more cards even harder to remember. I think would be better if they…

Identify Active Set in title bar
