Universal off-line mobile client (500 work units)
Use javascript to write a mobile client which should work on Android, iPhone and Windows Phone 7.
How well this cross-platform aspect works in practice still remains to be seen, but it's the only option given the size of the core development team.
Initially, it will be a thin client very much like MnemoDodo, where you only export a few days' worth of revisions. Difference with MnemoDodo will be that the sync can be initiated from the phone
The Android client has been released on Google Play.

i think Maddin just want to say that there are many good smart phone apps that no need to create another one. its better to focus just on the PC version.
all mobile flashcard apps have tts feature but no PC flashcard application. -
AnyMemo is not part of the Mnemosyne project...

I am using AnyMemo on my Android. I have uploaded the flashcards from Mnemosyne. AnyMemo is good, this means, the client discussed here DOES ALREADY EXIST.

We must make sure that the version of Java is secure with updating: Chrome now has Java sandboxed, which may be one way to manage?
Let's add iTouch; iPad x to the list.

Would love to have Mnemosyne on iPad and Android mobile phone. Tablets and Android phones are the trend of the time and you cant ignore it

It would be great to work with Mnemosyne completely on my Android - not only uploading the cards for the next days. This means editing and adding new cards and learning without having to sync regularly.

That depends on whether there is a browser on that platform with good support for html5 / javascript.
For the current bundled webserver which you can run on your own network, there shouldn't be a problem, though, as that is very plain html.

Would this work also for Symbian S60?
