  2. Suggesting a plugin for making a math type assignment using random numbers predefined by the user.

The syntax may look someting like this:

    m-randomNumber(newVariableName, numberFrom, numberTo)

  4. If I want to cram something which is sequential, like a poem divided into pairs of line for example, the most intuitive approach would be to review it sequentially. At the moment, I don't have the option.

  5. The size of the main window and some other windows (e.g. the statistics window) is apparently determined by the length of the longest tags. Since my cards are organised using multiple levels of sub-categories, my tags become rather long, and thus the size of the windows often exceeds the screen width. Adjusting the size to a smaller width is not possible.

Furthermore, card tags are shown in a single line between the icons in the main window and the front card area (behind the word "Question:"). I surmise allowing line breaks for longer tags might solve the problem.

  8. For example:

Dutch is my mother tongue and I would like to learn English and French at the same time. I would have a vocabulary deck Dutch-English and Dutch-French.
If I would enter the word 'chair' in these decks, I would have two cards in two different decks: 'stoel-chair' and 'stoel-chaise' respectively.

But instead of learning only with my mother tongue as the base, I would like to learn these languages interchangeably (NL-FR, NL-EN and EN-FR).

In order to not have to add a third deck English-French with the card 'chair-chaise', it would be very convenient when Mnemosyne would recognise…

  9. Add a button in the mobile app to import cards from the net. By this way we can also download content from the web and not only sync with our computer. It means that Mnemosyne becomes more an adaptation of the computer's app for mobile, not just a complementary app.

  11. Display number of downloads in plugins, scripts and cards on the website so that you may get an idea how popular they are.

I have submitted some scripts and cardsets to the website. I have no idea if I should invest time in updating or developing them further based on how popular they are.

  12. It would be great if you were able to draw the answer with different colors within Mnemosyne. (Like it is possible by using external software like Epic Pen https://cloud.addictivetips.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Epic-Pen-Drawings.png). This would be useful for maths or chemistry.
However, as soon as you move to the next cards your notes will be deleted.

  13. It would be fun to be able to rank with friends certain decks of cards. Having some kind of a score makes the "game" ;) so much more interesting. And even if its only a +1 notice.

  14. HTML tables are being displayed with a specific default. The table is justified to the left of the card and the individual cells are centered. This is different than version 1.7, and work well with me.

I have a lot of cards with tables, so I'd like to avoid having to go through each card and add tags to get a certain table style. There should be a way to specify to Mnemosyne to display all tables in a default way (unless, of course, the HTML table tags contain specific formatting)?

This might be taken even more generally as some…

  15. An option to hide status bar. It would be nice if it was possible to do with a shortcut.
In my view the status bar might be mayor distraction while doing repetitions. It bothers me because I focus on number of not memorised cards instead of thinking about answer.

  16. Right now, only one image can be inserted into a card at a time. It would be helpful to be able to select multiple images and add them at the same time.

In my case, I am using text and images to learn foreign vocabulary. For the concepts that are not so straightforward, I often need more than one picture to convey the meaning. For example, the idea of "assets" can be natural scoring ability or it can cover IT assets. Right now, I am saving the pictures and numbering the variations (e.g. asset 1, asset 2, etc.).

    With a…

  17. As a Mnemosyne beginner, I find the tooltips in the desktop client very helpful. I suggest the same tooltips are added to the Android client on long pressing each grading digit.

For clarity, the tooltips I'm talking about are:
"You don't remember this card yet."
"Like '0', but it's getting more familiar. Show it less often."
    ...
"You've memorized this card now, and should remember it in 2 days."

  18. Now because of absence of spell check I have to create cards in other place and after move them to Mnemosyne. It will be nice if we have spell check support in "add cards" dialog. Also spell check should have option to turn on or off in settings window.

  19. (By "normal mode", I refer to the normal Mnemosyne learning screen.)

In normal mode, the separation line is nicely automatically moved if the back side of a card has a lot of text and the front side is just a word. However, in Editor, the sizes of front and back side are fixed. One cannot manually move the separator. The separator should be narrower and movable. This would make editing much easier.
