  2. Make a makro for super-quick re-tagging of cards

    It would be very good to have available a "makro" that retag a card in one click. Eg.:

    1) "Ctrl+1" would give the card with tag=Chpt1 the new tag 1Chpt1,
    2) "Ctrl+2" would give the card with tag=Chpt    1 the new tag 2Chpt1 etc.

    For cards with multiple tags [Spanish::Chpt1, History::Chpt8] pressing "Ctrl+1" would give the the card the new tags [German::1Chpt1, History::1Chpt8]

    This way it would be easier to use the excellent tag-functionality in Mnemosyne 2.0 to

  4. Features like Anki image occlusion 2.0

    It would be great if you were able to edit images and remove the description of some parts within Mnemosyne - that would be useful for anatomy flash cards.

  6. Set card background color based on tag

    My language cards use Front-to-Back, Front-to-Back-&-Back-to-Front, Cloze Deletion types (I don't use Vocabulary type). It is helpful to use a different background color for each language so they are readily distinguishable (e.g. light red for Indonesian, light blue for English, etc.) But that requires a clone of each of the three above card types for each language. It would be much easier if I could set a background color which would apply, for example, to any Indonesian card, regardless of the card type.

  7. For vocabulary: allowing learning production card from learned recognition card

    When learning a new language I find it easier to learn recognition cards before production cards. But i would like to be able to learn producing cards i already recognize without cards i don't yet recognize .

  8. Put aside a repetition card temporarily

    During the daily repetition, often a card will come up, the answer of which I know I know, but cannot quickly recall. I don't want to peek, but should like to move this card to the end of the stack of cards to be repeated, so that I can quickly deal with the easy cards and then come back to this one.

    Giving a rating of 1 does NOT solve this problem, as first of all it shows the answer (and deprives me of the opportunity to give it myself), and secondly it ranks the card as unlearned, with the…

  9. in card browser: reverse front and back of a card

    I imported a stack of cards. They were in the front-to-back format, however with the reverse order of how I'd like it. Now I need to edit all cards separatedly, exchanging front with back and back with front. Would be nice to have a simple button that swaps back with front.

  10. Microsoft Clipboard Formatting Support

    It would be really helpful if it supported Office 2010/2013 clipboard information. So that it would retain bold/italics/font size/etc.

    One step further would be to also detect and store font styles that would be usable throughout the database.

    For Example:
    I have a very large microsoft word document that is using font styles for every component of my norwegian notes.

    The reason why I used this system is so that when I want to make a change to several thousand vocabulary words formatting I can do it by just adjusting the style profile.

  11. Syntax highlighting and indentation for Latex and HTML

    Latex and HTML code should have a different color than normal text. That way it would be much more readable.

    I just found out about a feature, which I wanted to suggest. ^^ Ctrl+Tab indents text in the edit window.
    Indenting multiple lines of text, could be nice feature. For example: select some lines and then use Ctrl+Tab to indent all selected lines. Well, this feature, will probably not be added before mnemosyne 20.1, but maybe the devellopers will get bored one day. ;)

  12. Windows Store app

    With the advent of Windows S for schools and students, it would be nice to have a Windows store app, otherwise there is no way to install Mnemosyne on this kind of OS (no .exe files allowed).
    And isn't education the primary purpose of Mnemosyne?
    I think that with time Microsoft will push developers to convert win32 programs to Windows store apps anyway, because of this OS. I heard there is project Centennial for that now. Universal Windows App would also satisfy those who call for a Windows Mobile app. But I'm not an expert, maybe it's too hard.

  14. support CSS classes for text decoration.

    Since you already allow html tags this could be extended by using css: Allow for a .css file in the root folder of your app wich can hold user defined css classes, make your app check for that and use it if it exists.

  19. Add advanced search features (truncation, AND, OR, NOT)

    I now have 2427 cards, many of which contain information which can be similar (eg: multiple cards about kidney anatomy). When I want to update a specific card because I have gotten some new information (like if a specific kidney part gets a new name), I need to be able to easily find it and change it.

    For this, I would like some advanced search functions to be added when you browse your cards, like trucation (kidn*), boolean logic (AND, OR, NOT). Perhaps also case-sensitive searches and accent-insensitive searches (this helps when your cards are in french and contain specific…
