  3. When there is parallel review on two devices, it is very easy to have the grades go out of sync.
It would be great to be able to resolve individual conflicts, not have to copy the whole binary database in case of a conflict.

  4. The ability to remap/configure keyboard shortcuts either via the preferences dialog or editing a text file.

I have a keyboard layout that makes using the default keyboard shortcuts inconvenient.

  8. Maybe you can add a way to add editable muscial scores or import them from Muse Score 2 (not as a picture).
For example when you have the question "Where is C located?" you're able to draw the right answer in a musical score that will be verified (within Mnemosyne).

  9. It would be great if you were able to edit images and remove the description of some parts within Mnemosyne - that would be useful for anatomy flash cards.
Here is an example that shows what I mean: https://youtu.be/X_y6wRH4EhI?t=3m26s

  10. It would be great if you were able to draw the answer with different colors within Mnemosyne. (Like it is possible by using external software like Epic Pen https://cloud.addictivetips.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Epic-Pen-Drawings.png). This would be useful for maths or chemistry.
However, as soon as you move to the next cards your notes will be deleted.

  11. One larger phones such as the S8+, the zero button is quite awkward to reach when using the phone one-handed. An option to move the buttons either to the bottom of the screen or the RH/LH edge of the screen (in a vertical layout) would make it much easier to reach.

  12. I am missing a tool to help me import data from database sources, e.g. an .mdb (or similar) file. - Background: I have large collections of "cards" in MS Access (kind of a DIY "flashcards" database application). Of course, I could export this into a tab-separated .txt file and import it, but this would need various transformations. A tool in Mnemosyne should allow the user to first open a given database file (.mdb and so forth), then point to certain fields in it to tell Mnemosyne which source field will provide the contents for which target field. That's a standard…

  13. After editing or deleting a card in the card browser, the list is displayed again from the start.
Could the current/previous position in the list be remembered? Especially useful with very long lists.

  14. When sorting the cards in the card browser by name and the name consists of letters modified by diacritical marks and/or ligatures of two letters, it orders them in an "ASCIIbetical" order instead of a true alphabetical or natural order, as in dictionaries.
Example how it should be (NISO Technical Report 03
    TR03-1999)
    Aastrøm, Jeppe
    Örne, Anders
    Aav, Yrjö
    Ornstein, Marvin

  15. Tthe default settings make the tex elements feel very much out of place, because they are so much bigger and don't really fit in with the rest of the card. Alternatively, the default font could be made as big as the Latex default font. Either way, it's annoying, that they don't match out of the box.

  16. Since you already allow html tags this could be extended by using css: Allow for a .css file in the root folder of your app wich can hold user defined css classes, make your app check for that and use it if it exists.

  17. During the daily repetition, often a card will come up, the answer of which I know I know, but cannot quickly recall. I don't want to peek, but should like to move this card to the end of the stack of cards to be repeated, so that I can quickly deal with the easy cards and then come back to this one.

Giving a rating of 1 does NOT solve this problem, as first of all it shows the answer (and deprives me of the opportunity to give it myself), and secondly it ranks the card as unlearned, with the…

  18. With the advent of Windows S for schools and students, it would be nice to have a Windows store app, otherwise there is no way to install Mnemosyne on this kind of OS (no .exe files allowed).
And isn't education the primary purpose of Mnemosyne?
I think that with time Microsoft will push developers to convert win32 programs to Windows store apps anyway, because of this OS. I heard there is project Centennial for that now. Universal Windows App would also satisfy those who call for a Windows Mobile app. But I'm not an expert, maybe it's too hard.

  19. I like to memorise twice a day, and it would be great to be able to mark a card as "maybe known till the evening" - no longer having it appear in the morning, but seeing it again in the evening.
Other people may have still other work rhythms (say, every other day), so having this as a general feature would be nice.

  20. I am using the program to train right-wrong questions. I would like to suggest a option to mark sentences in the front card (like a highlighter pen) that appears ONLY after you call the back card. I belive that helps to improve attention. Thanks.
