When sorting the cards in the card browser by name and the name consists of letters modified by diacritical marks and/or ligatures of two letters, it orders them in an "ASCIIbetical" order instead of a true alphabetical or natural order, as in dictionaries.

support CSS classes for text decoration.
Since you already allow html tags this could be extended by using css: Allow for a .css file in the root folder of your app wich can hold user defined css classes, make your app check for that and use it if it exists.

Add musical scores
Maybe you can add a way to add editable muscial scores or import them from Muse Score 2 (not as a picture).
For example when you have the question "Where is C located?" you're able to draw the right answer in a musical score that will be verified (within Mnemosyne).2 votes -
Add the option to change the position of the 'Show answer' and 1-5 button
One larger phones such as the S8+, the zero button is quite awkward to reach when using the phone one-handed. An option to move the buttons either to the bottom of the screen or the RH/LH edge of the screen (in a vertical layout) would make it much easier to reach.

Windows Store app
With the advent of Windows S for schools and students, it would be nice to have a Windows store app, otherwise there is no way to install Mnemosyne on this kind of OS (no .exe files allowed).
And isn't education the primary purpose of Mnemosyne?
I think that with time Microsoft will push developers to convert win32 programs to Windows store apps anyway, because of this OS. I heard there is project Centennial for that now. Universal Windows App would also satisfy those who call for a Windows Mobile app. But I'm not an expert, maybe it's too hard.9 votes -
notepad - scratchpad
I would love to have mnemosyne give the option of a scratchpad, no special features, just a place to free text (but it won't save it, and it clears with each new card), so i can write down my thoughts on what I think the answer should be. Letting me commit to my answer before checking to see if I got it right.

Highligh Pen tool for Tricky parts
I am using the program to train right-wrong questions. I would like to suggest a option to mark sentences in the front card (like a highlighter pen) that appears ONLY after you call the back card. I belive that helps to improve attention. Thanks.

"Find Duplicate Questions" feature improvements
I would like to see the "Find Duplicate Questions" feature improved as follows:
1) Allow for the duplicate scan to run on the "Active" cards, "All" cards, or also give a "Cancel" option.
2) When duplicates are detected, provide more assistance in merging and editing existing cards. This could use the same tool that is used when a possible duplicate is detected when new cards are being entered. It would allow me to step thru the duplicates set by set, edit/merge (or not), and I could quit at any time, keeping all of the edits that were made.1 vote -

I have submitted some scripts and cardsets to the website. I have no idea if I should invest time in updating or developing them further based on how popular they are.

Pronunciation and answer field divided in browse card
In the Browse Cards windows the pronunciation field is merged with the answer field. it would be nice to have the chance to split them in two columns so that you can sort them either by pronunciation field.

Add advanced search features (truncation, AND, OR, NOT)
I now have 2427 cards, many of which contain information which can be similar (eg: multiple cards about kidney anatomy). When I want to update a specific card because I have gotten some new information (like if a specific kidney part gets a new name), I need to be able to easily find it and change it.
For this, I would like some advanced search functions to be added when you browse your cards, like trucation (kidn*), boolean logic (AND, OR, NOT). Perhaps also case-sensitive searches and accent-insensitive searches (this helps when your cards are in french and contain specific…

Fix the ruby text with the wrong size when not used in Vocabulary cards
Right now, when using foreign scripts and ruby mark-up, the font size of the text on the ruby caption is of the same size as normal text, which makes it look terrible.
I suppose this is caused by the "increase size of non-latin characters" feature, and it just sets the same font size for all the text that isn't latin.
I would say this is just a small bug, so it would be nice to have it fixed for when you are not using Vocabulary cards.6 votes -

Have three sides for each flashcard so hints can be enabled
I like to use a memory tool that takes the first letter of each word to help you recall what you are memorizing.
I use this when memorizing LARGE portions, such as the Sermon on the Mount, which is three chapters long.
I would like my first card to come up as just the reference, then I could click on a "Hint" button and it would show my second card, which would be the first letter of each word.
Or if I didn't need that, I could just click on the "Show answer" button to check myself.

Ability to draw by hand on cards (if you have a stylus pen) / Create handwrite flashcards
It would be great if there was a function where you can use a stylus pen (if you have a tablet) to draw pictures or notes on (both sides of) one card (and SAVE the drawing) within Mnemosyne

Set a Maximum Review Interval option in "Preferences"
I've seen variations of this idea in many threads, but I feel it deserves it's own. When you've been doing cards long enough, sometimes the interval of when you will next review it become 4 or 5 months, even if you mark it low. This is too long for some of us in classes. In the preferences, please put and option for Maximum review interval so that no matter how well known the card is, it will reappear in a specified number of days (14 days, 37 days, etc.) and the card will not be lost until next semester:) Thanks!

sort sequence of numbers in card browser
When sorting the cards in the card browser by name and the name consists of numbers, it orders them fine by increasing number, but only until 100. 101-109 is then placed after 10, 110-119 after 11, and so on.
How can I sort my cards so that the numbers are increasing steadily just like a human would count them (1,2,3,4,5 ... 100,101,102) and not mixing up eventually?
